Ganga Mahostav 2019 will be celebrated from 8th-12th Nov 2019
Ganga Mahotsav is a 3-4-day grand celebration celebrated on the ghats of Ganga in Varanasi. This grandiose festival begins with Dev prabhodini ekadashi and concludes with awe-inspiring Dev Deepawali in Kartik Purnima. This year it will be celebrated from 8th – 11th Nov at Rajghat and will conclude on 12th Nov with Dev Deepawali. Ganga Mahotsav starts at dusk and is adorned with blends of Classical Music, folk songs, Bollywood melodies, dance etc. Doyens from the world of art and culture assemble to cherish and praise Mother Ganga through their performances. A floating stage is prepared on the river which is beautifully decorated with colourful flowers and shimmering lights. The number of audience crosses thousands which include both locals and travellers. This indeed is a celestial experience and takes one’s soul to a heavenly abode.
