Situated at the northern part of Anandamayi ghat, Vachcharaj ghat was built by a famous businessman named Bachchraj in 18th century AD. The present ghat is renovated in the year 1965 by the govt. of Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that seventh Jain Tirthankar Suparshvanatha was born nearby. At present most of the Jain families live here. The jains do not just take a dip in the holy river; they also go and offer their prayers at the temples.
Upgoing beautiful stairs from Ganga river bank to street have three niches consist of beautiful idol of mother Ganga along with the idols of Shiva and Ganesha. At the upper portion of the Ghat there are three Temples amongst which the Ankureshwar Shiva temple and the Suparshwanath Jain temple are the most significant Occasional cultural programmes, bhajan and Kirtans are organized here. It is a comfortable ghat for local people to take bath and do exercise.
