Before 1931, Jain ghat was the part of Vaccharaja ghat. Later on Jain community developed the ghat and named it as Jain ghat. The southern part of the ghat is mainly used by the people of jain community therefore we can see a instruction board by the district administrator for the common people to not to fishing here.
