Built during the end of 18th century by the King Digpatiya of Bengal, Digpatiya ghat was a part of Chausatti Ghat till 20th century. A massive fortress on top of the Ghat by the same ruler is built with stones and bricks reflect the mesmerizing infrastructure of Bengali art. The fortress often reminds the art of Durg. Presently the Fortress goes by the name of Kashi Ashram.
