1. Assi Ghat
Let’s start this ‘walk’ from the most famous spot of Varanasi; Assi Ghat earliest in the morning! Reach before the sunrise for the Ganga Aarti and wait for the exuberant classical Indian Music performance; called ‘Subah-e-Banaras’ and must take part in the public Yoga activity.

After purifying mind & soul at Assi, now it’s time to take some rest and have a sip of warm lemon tea. Just few walking steps away you reach another famous Ghat and an ancient Monastery, named after 16th-century bhakti poet and writer of ‘Ramcharit manas’; Goswami Tulsidas!

Situated just by the Tulsi Ghat; It is an ancient wrestling school of Varanasi which holds the history of more than 400 years. Founded by Goswami Tulsidas, it got famous by the tails of Swami Nath and got named after him. Must reach here within 9 am or you may miss the practice.

it is an ancient ‘bathing well’ full of mystical power according to Hindu mythology. Thousands of people take bath here to get rid of diseases, resolve infertility and have child. An astonishing number of successful families come back within a year or so with the blessed newborn to complete the final rituals.

- Rani Laxmi Bai Birth Place
A young queen of 22 and her infant baby were martyred on the frontline fighting against the British invaders in the year 1858 for the freedom of her estate! Born in a Varanasi based elite family; Manikarnika grew up here and became the Queen of Jhansi: Rani Laxmi Bai, a symbol of bravery and a pioneer figure of Indian freedom movement.

Varanasi is well known for its delicious foods. Get a straight English breakfast, dip your Kachouri in spicy curry or go for some south Indian delicacies; food here will always satisfy the soul. Often ends with a plate of hot Jalebi or a large glass of Lassi that will give you enough energy to keep walking to next half of the day!

Before the end, take a walk through the weaver colony of Shivala. In these densely populated households you will find hand loom weavers, brocade and Zari artisans are working hard and creating most exuberant handmade crafted cloths and apparels, don’t resist yourself for some well bargained purchases.

- Shri Brahma Ved Vidyalaya
For hundreds of years, students have been traditionally inducted here into the Math, literature, philosophy & the Vedas, and also given boarding and lodging within the premises.

It is nearly 200 yrs old temple with the same architecture and same idols of lord Jagannath, Subhadra and Balaram as in Puri temple but with a uniqueness!
