It is situated on north end of Niranjani Ghat. It is named after Mahanirvani sect of Naga Saints. The famous Akhara is situated here. Inside the akhara there are four Shiva temple built by the king of Nepal. It is legendary that Acharya Kapil Muni of Sankhya philosophy lived here during 7th century A.D. Near Mahanirvani Akhara, Mother Teresa’s Home is situated.
