Atala Mosque Jaunpur

Built by Ibrahim Shah Sharki this mosque is considered as the finest specimen for all the other mosques of the city Jaunpur. It was build in the 1408 A.D. and yet its beauty does not fail to charm the visitors till date and is conferred as the most beautiful mosque of the city. The interior of the grand domes is extensively made up of black marbles. It consists of a courtyard, on the western side of which is situated a range of buildings, the Central one covered by a dome , in front of which stands a gate unique of almost Egyptian manner and outline.
