The Varanasi Laquerware is the producer of eccentric toys that are crafted in detail and coloured in fluorescent and bright colours. The toys are manufactured with eucalyptus and Coraiya woods, and are carved and coloured with hands. The colouring is done with lac and processing them by heating, mixing, cutting in pieces and cooling. The intricate designs were loved even before the discovery of the silk route. Also, these toys are exported in foreign market in bulk.
