Prahalad Ghat:

This is the named after Prahalada, a great mythological devotee of Lord Visnu. Legeng says Lord Vishnu saved Prahalad from his cruel father near this ghat. In 11th -12th centuty the Ghadavala inscriptions mentioned this ghat. This is spread over a longer stretch. In 1937 with the construction of a new Nisada Ghat in the center (where exisrs Satsanga Akhara), now the ghat is divided into two parts: the southern and northern. The shrine of Prahaladeshvara, Prahalada Kesava , Vidara Narsimha, Varada and Picindala Vinayakas situated here at the southern part of the Ghat. Around the northern site there are Mahisasura Tirtha, Svaralingesvara, Yajna Varaha and Sivaduti Devi temple.

On the month of Vaisakha (April-May) a grand festival is being celebrated here to honor the appearance of Nrsimha (“Lion-man” incarnation of Lord Vishnu’s 4th avatar).
