Manmandir Ghat

The old name of this ghat was Someswara , In 1585, King Mansingh of Amer built this Ghat along with a palace, hence the Ghat got its name. This ghat is known primarily for the magnificent building with ornately carved window. Over the ghat, an observatory was built by Sawai Jai Singh in 17^thcentury, under the directions of an astrologer, Jagannatha. There are four main astronomical instruments were made between 1850s and again in 1912 under the patronage of the King of Jaipur.
