Mosque Inside Shahi Fort
Situated in the heart of the city is Shahi Qila which is located on the banks of river Gomti. This fort is major attraction for the tourists as it is an archaeological site. Feroz Shah Tughlaq built the Shahi Qila in around 1360 C.E. on the ruins of the former Kerar Kot. It consists of 2 major gates; the inner gate of this fort is 26.5 feet high and 16 feet wide while the central gate is 36 feet high.

The majestic gates are decorated with blue & yellow stones. From this fort one will have an enchanting view of the Gomti River and the beautiful city of Jaunpur. Built by, Ibrahim Abu Barak, The Mosque located inside the fort was built in typical Bengali style with a sand stone minar in front. The minar has Arabic inscription on it.
